D'backs over Reds 13-11
The Klotz Piggly Wiggly had a back and forth contest with the Diamondbacks Tuesday night before ending up on the wrong end of a 13-11 score. Starting pitcher Grant Waala went 2 2/3 innings striking out seven and walking eleven while allowing seven runs on no hits. Ryan Stenz followed going one inning and allowing five un-earned runs with one strikeout and eight walks. Dan Uyhely finished-up going 1/3 of an inning while allowing two runs on one hit, a game winning triple off the bat of Sam Lemke. Offensively, Ryan Stenz led the way going 2-4 with an RBI. Grant Waala, Derek Hall and John Whatley also helped the cause with one hit apiece. The Reds (7-5) look to regain their winning form next Wednesday at 5:45pm against the Royals on the WBLL West Diamond.
 
Reds Rally past Rangers
The Klotz Piggly Wiggly Reds came back from a 3-0 second inning deficit to defeat the Rangers 8-6 on Saturday at the West Bend Little League Complex. In the bottom of the second Andrew Riehl led off with a walk and John Whatley followed with a single. After a strikeout, Greg Fehring drew a walk which brought in Riehl and after another strikeout, Ryan Stenz also walked to bring in Whatley.  The big blow came when Grant Waala lined a two run double to the gap which was followed by an rbi single from Derek Hall to complete the innings scoring. Starting pitcher Scott Pence went 4 2/3 innings allowing four earned runs on five hits while striking out six and walking ten. Stenz relieved going 1 1/3 innings while  giving up one run on three walks. Leading hitters for the Reds were Hall (3-3, 2rbi) and Grant Waala (2-3, 3rbi). Next up for the Reds will be the Diamondbacks on Tuesday night at 7:45PM.
 
Hall throws no-hitter
The Klotz Piggly Wiggly Reds got another excellent outing from it's pitching staff Thursday night as Derek Hall threw a no-hitter in a 14-0 rout of the A's in a game which was shortened by the 10 run rule after four innings. Hall struck out 11 and walked 2 and also aided his cause by going 2-3 (4 RBI) at the plate. Also hitting well were Dan Uyhely who went 2-3 (triple), Ryan Stenz (1-2) and Tyler Fitzgerald (1-2) who got his first hit of the season. The team is hoping to extend their winning streak to three games this Saturday in a 4PM matchup against the Rangers on the West diamond of the West Bend Little League Complex. 
 
Waala throws one-hitter
The Klotz Piggly Wiggly Reds got back to their winning ways Tuesday night by defeating the Orioles 9-5. Grant Waala had a rough start, walking the first three batters he faced and giving up three runs in the first inning before settling down the rest of the way. In the game Waala allowed 4 runs on only one hit while striking out 17 and walking 10 . It took the offense awhile to get going but they managed to plate four runs in the fourth and five more in the fifth to round out the scoring. Daniel Uyhely led the way going 2-3 and Ryan Stenz and Derek Hall each chipped in with one hit. The Reds return to action tomorrow night at 7:45PM against the A's on the Little League Complex West diamond.
 
Nationals beat Reds 8-2
The Klotz Piggly Wiggly Reds fell to .500 after being defeated 8-2 at the hands of the Nationals on Friday evening at the West Bend Little League Complex. Scott Pence started on the mound for the Reds and allowed 8 runs on 7 hits while striking out 8 and walking 7. Grant Waala (1 IP- 0 hits, 2 k's) and Ryan Stenz (1 IP- 1 hit, 2 BB and 3 k's) did a good job relieving Pence but the offense couldnt muster enough offense to make a comeback. Derek Hall was 2-3 (2 RBI) at the plate while Ryan Stenz and Scott Pence each were 1-3.  The team will be trying to break it's slump on Tuesday evening when they face the Orioles on the North diamond at 5:30PM.
 
Reds comeback falls short
The Klotz Piggly Wiggly Reds fell behind 8-0 against the Astros in the early going but behind a strong relief effort from Dan Uyhely the team fought back to make a game of it before succumbing to a 10-6 defeat. Uyhely allowed only 2 runs in 6 innings of work on 8 hits while walking 6 and striking out 10. Offensively, Derek Hall led the way going 3-4 while John Whatley (2 RBI), Andrew Riehl, Scott Pence and Ryan Stenz came through with one hit each. The team looks to try to get back to their early season success this Friday in a game against the Nationals at 7:45 on the Little League Complex South Diamond.
 
Reds have tough week
The Klotz Piggly Wiggly Reds ran into some trouble this past week as they lost games to the Marlins and Phillies 18-7 and 14-2 respectively. The team started out strongly against the Marlins with a 5-0 lead but things fell apart from then on. Reds pitchers combined to walk eleven hitters while striking out six. At the plate Andrew Riehl was 2-2 (one RBI) while Grant Waala (two doubles, one RBI) and Derek Hall (double, two RBI's) were 2-3. John Whatley also got his first hit of the season with a nice double in the fourth inning.
In the Phillies game, which was a continuation of an earlier rain postponement, Reds pitchers again struggled to throw strikes. The staff walked twenty while striking out ten. Leading hitters were Derek Hall who went 3 for 3 and Grant Waala (2 for 3, double, RBI). The team looks to get back on track after the Memorial Day weekend with a game against the Astros Wednesday June 1st at 5:45PM on the Little League Complex's West Diamond.
 
Reds off to 4-0 start
The Klotz Piggly Wiggly Reds scored ran their 2005 season record to 4-0 after defeating the Mariners 7-4 on Saturday afternoon. Starting pitcher Derek Hall went four innings, allowing two earned runs on one hit and nine walks while striking out eleven. Daniel Uyhely saw his first action in relief and struck out three hitters in two innings of work. Uyhely also helped the Reds cause at the plate, going 2-2 with a double and two RBI's. Grant Waala and Scott Pence each had two hits while David Jahnke, Andrew Riehl, Derek Hall and Ryan Stenz in with one hit apiece. Next up for the Reds are the Marlins on Thursday night at 5:30PM at the Little League Complex North Diamond.
 
Waala, Stenz throw No-Hitter
The Klotz Piggly Wiggly Reds scored six runs in the first two innings Friday night and never looked back as Grant Waala and Ryan Stenz combined to throw a no-hitter while defeating the Blue Jays 11-1 in five innings. Waala got the win as he struck out twelve and walked eight in four innings of work. He allowed the only earned run in the first inning when he walked four Blue Jay hitters. Stenz came on in the fifth and promply struck out the side while walking one. Derek Hall led the team on offense, going 3-4 with three runs scored and an RBI. Scott Pence was 2-2 with four RBI's and Grant Waala was 2-4 while scoring four runs. Daniel Uyhely also had an RBI while going 1-4. The Reds next game is tomorrow at 2PM against the Mariners on the North Diamond. 
 
Reds edge Giants 5-4
The Klotz Piggly Wiggly Reds continued their winning ways in 2005 by defeating the Giants 5-4 after getting another great pitching performance from Scott (Bulldog) Pence. Pence struck out 13 and walked 7 while allowing only 4 runs on 4 hits in an outstanding complete game effort. Pence (two doubles and two RBI's), and Grant Waala (one RBI) were a perfect 2-2 at the plate, while Ryan (Rhino) Stenz and Daniel Uyhely were each 1-2 with an RBI. The team looks to continue their success on Friday night against the Blue Jays.
  
Reds/Phillies
Postponed
The Klotz Piggly Wiggly Reds and the Phillies had their game postponed due to rain in the third inning Saturday due to rain. Prior to the rain, the Phillies led 7-1. The game will be continued at a later date.
 
Reds win Opener
The Klotz Piggly Wiggly Reds had a wonderful start to the 2005 season behind the strong pitching of Scott Pence (4 IP-7K's, one earned run and five walks) and Ryan Stenz  hitting (3-3 at the plate). After playing close for most of the game the Reds turned a 4-3 deficit in the fifth into a 7-4 lead which relievers Grant Waala and Derek Hall were able to sustain the rest of the way.  Pence aided his cause by going 2-3 (three RBI) at the plate while Alex Swanson, Waala, Hall and Greg Fehring each chipped in with one hit apiece. The Reds look to continue their success this Saturday against the Phillies at 2PM on the Little League North Diamond.
